A Knight has died

Never-ending ways, oh how I claim
Lead me to Heaven.
I've been giving my soul for the name of the King.
I've served with every drop of my unholy blood.
Wastelands, path that I'd never walk again.
Lead me to Paradise.
I've been living for the sake of the oath that I've made the day I was chosen.
Everytime I close my eyes I can see the King saying, like if it were just now:
" Be without fear
in the face of your enemies.
Be brave and upright
that God may love thee.
Speak the truth always
even if it leads to your death.
Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong.
That's your oath.
By the power I received from God
I knight you in the name of Saint George,
Saint James and Saint Peter"
I've been longing for the sword to kill all the pain that is with me now.
I've been longing to see the face of my beloved ones again.
Oh never-ending ways, I don't want you to go on forever.
I've been claiming for the light so long.
Lead me to Eden.
Let the pain go away.
I've seen the river and it's not so far.
But it seems that I have got no strength to get there.
Lead me to Hades if there's no place else for you to take me
I cannot stand this battle anymore.
The sword is so heavy and so it is my body.
I must say that I gave my life for the sake of my Kingdom, 
but the time has come and I must die.
I just beg you to tell the ones I've always loved that:
"The sword fights with the Knight and the Knight with the sword must die"
